Gpi has been awarded the tender to supply the blood transfusion management information system for the Welsh Blood Service, the organisation responsible for blood collection and distribution in Wales. A ten-year contract worth £6.5 million (approximately €7.7 million).
At the heart of the supply is Gpi4Med.Blood, the platform that manages the entire transfusion cycle, ensuring full traceability from donor to recipient, safety and integration with existing hospital information systems.
“This is a wonderful day for GPI and the Welsh Blood Service. It’s an agreement that I hope will have a long duration. We have an opportunity to create a common partnership on blood solutions based on our mutual capabilities” said Fabio Rossi, International Operations Director at Gpi.
The award strengthens the Group’s presence in the British market and confirms the competitiveness of its solutions at international level.
