The client

Polyclinique Farah is one of Gpi’s leading references in Africa.
It belongs to a large healthcare group — Groupe Farah — led by DrOualid Zahreddine. Groupe Farah includes several affiliated and subsidiary health structures across Abidjan – Ivory Coast.
It is the most impactful private Health Group in Ivory Coast and the subregion.

The needs

Initially scoped for a 100-bed facility, the project expanded as the group grew in sites, beds, patients, users, and clinical activities.
The project was initiated to address Farah Group’s need for

  • a scalable, multisite PAS/EMR platform
  • an integrated Pharmacy Management System with a secure prescription-to-dispensation circuit
  • an adaptable solution

A dependable implementation partner capable of supporting rapid deployment across a multi-facility environment was a priority too.

The challenge

During the project, several critical challenges emerged, particularly related to adapting the solution to a new country, culture, and regulatory environment, while ensuring full compliance with local healthcare rules.

Additional complexities included

  • multisite data synchronization
  • scaling workloads as new facilities were added
  • supporting the client in implementing and optimizing their internal processes
  • and integrating the platform with other existing applications to maintain interoperability.

The solution

Gpi deployed a fully integrated PAS and invoicing/EMR platform as well as a Pharmacy Management System designed for multisite healthcare networks.
The solution includes:

  • centralized patient administration
  • clinical documentation
  • electronic prescribing
  • drug-dispensing traceability
  • interoperable modules.

The new platform is compliant with international healthcare IT standards.

Its architecture ensures high availability, secure data exchange, and seamless scalability as new sites are added.
The implementation also covered workflow optimization, data migration, system interoperability, and user enablement, delivering a unified, high-performance digital ecosystem across all Farah Group facilities.
The relationship with the client is rooted in Gpi’s ability to provide a robust, scalable, and secure system aligned with their operational expansion.
Gpi successfully addressed the challenges of this project by customizing workflows, optimizing interoperability layers, enhancing system performance for high-volume operations, and implementing a fully traceable and secure prescription-to-dispensation circuit. These interventions not only reinforced the reliability and security of the platform but also demonstrated Gpi’s ability to accompany the client through implementation, operational rollout, and future expansion, ensuring that the system could effectively support the ongoing growth of a fast-developing healthcare network.

The benefits of the Multisite PAS/EMR platform

The solution delivered by Gpi provides Farah Group with a unified, scalable, and multisite digital infrastructure that fully addresses the initial operational gaps.
The integrated PAS/EMR and pharmacy platform

  • centralizes patient data
  • reduces administrative workload and
  • ensures consistent clinical documentation across all facilities.

The secure e-prescribing and pharmacy circuit

  • eliminates manual errors
  • enables full drug-traceability
  • reduces prescription discrepancies in comparable deployments.

System scalability now supports the group’s growth—from the original 100-bed scope to a multi-facility network handling several hundred beds, thousands of patients per month, and a rapidly increasing number of users—while maintaining high performance and data integrity. Overall, the project enhances efficiency, safety, interoperability, and operational control across all Farah Group sites.

Evolutionary scenario / future objectives

The project has successfully delivered a stable, scalable, and fully integrated digital ecosystem that now supports Farah Group’s expanding clinical and operational footprint. The outcome confirms the client’s strategic direction towards multisite digital consolidation and advanced clinical governance. With the new infrastructure in place, Farah Group is well positioned to pursue future initiatives such as advanced analytics, telemedicine services, extended interoperability with national health systems, and additional site rollouts. The platform’s modular architecture ensures that future expansions—whether in bed capacity, new facilities, or new specialties—can be integrated with minimal disruption, supporting the group’s long-term growth and digital transformation strategy.
